PURPLE Experiences

Beyond the Session. Into the World.

PURPLE Girls is more than what happens during a regular program meeting. PURPLE Experiences are special opportunities that help participants take what they are learning about identity, confidence, leadership, healthy relationships, life skills, education, career readiness, purpose, and community — and experience those lessons in real life.

She Can't Imagine What She's Never Been Given the Opportunity to See.

Types of Experiences

Exposure Turns Possibilities Into Something She Can See

College & Education Exposure

Campus tours, university visits, community college exposure, financial-aid education, scholarship information, and college-readiness workshops. The goal is not to tell every young woman that a four-year university is her only path — the goal is to expand what she knows is available.

Career Exposure

Connecting participants with professionals across industries before they have to choose a path. Career panels, workplace tours, career days, professional demonstrations, and approved job-shadowing experiences.

Leadership Experiences

Leadership is something she practices. Public-speaking opportunities, team-building, service projects, youth-led presentations, and confidence-building experiences where participants contribute — not simply sit and listen.

Cultural & Enrichment Experiences

Growth can happen outside a classroom. Museums, theater, music, arts, cultural festivals, historical sites, and creative workshops that broaden perspective, build confidence, and encourage curiosity.

Life Skills & Financial Education

Everyday independence and age-appropriate financial learning — budgeting, banking, saving, credit education, and financial goal-setting. Knowing something and practicing it are not always the same thing.
