PURPLE Girls Junior
Growing Her Confidence. Developing Her Voice. Preparing Her to Lead.
PURPLE Girls Junior is a mentorship and personal-development program of Blessing Our Women, Inc. designed to help girls build confidence, strengthen life skills, develop healthy relationships, discover their strengths, and grow into the young women they are becoming.

We're Developing the Whole Girl.
PURPLE Girls Junior isn't built around telling girls what not to do. It's designed to help them understand who they are, what they value, how they communicate, how they make decisions, how they navigate relationships, how they handle challenges, and what they believe is possible for their futures.
PURPLE Girls Junior is not a domestic violence survivor program. Domestic violence prevention, personal safety, boundaries, and healthy-relationship education are included as age-appropriate components of a much broader mentorship and youth-development experience.
The PURPLE Experience
She Won't Just Attend Sessions. She'll Have Experiences.
PURPLE Girls Junior combines structured development with experiences that allow participants to practice what they're learning in real life.
The 8 PURPLE Development Pillars
8 Pillars. One Whole-Girl Approach.
Together, the eight PURPLE Development Pillars guide participants through age-appropriate experiences that strengthen identity, relationships, decision-making, leadership, life preparation, and personal growth.

What She'll Explore
Real Skills for Real Life
Mentorship Matters
Every Girl Deserves Positive Guidance.
Mentorship is at the heart of PURPLE Girls. Approved mentors help create consistent, encouraging relationships where participants can ask questions, develop goals, strengthen confidence, work through age-appropriate challenges, and have another positive adult in their corner.
Mentors are expected to complete BOW's required application, screening, onboarding, training, and program requirements before being approved to work with youth participants.
Learn About PURPLE MentorshipH.E.R. Circles
A Space to Talk. A Space to Listen. A Space to Grow.
H.E.R. Circles provide structured opportunities for PURPLE Girls to connect, reflect, communicate, and learn from one another in a supportive group environment. Through guided conversations and activities, participants can strengthen their voices, practice healthy communication, explore relevant topics, and experience the power of positive sisterhood.
Learning Beyond the Room
Exposure Creates Possibility.
Some things can't be taught from a worksheet. PURPLE Girls Junior may include opportunities for participants to experience educational, cultural, career, community, service, and enrichment activities that introduce them to new environments, people, ideas, and possibilities.
“She Can't Imagine What She's Never Been Given the Opportunity to See.”
Healthy Relationships & Prevention
Knowledge Helps Her Protect Her Peace.
Age-appropriate healthy-relationship education helps participants learn to recognize respect, communicate boundaries, understand consent and personal safety, navigate friendships and dating relationships, identify concerning behaviors, and know when and how to seek help. Topics may also include digital boundaries, privacy, social media, and online safety.
Domestic violence and dating-violence prevention are incorporated as educational components of the larger PURPLE Girls experience.

Supporting Her Growth Together
PURPLE Girls isn't designed to remove parents and caregivers from a girl's development. Approved caregivers receive program information, expectations, policies, schedules, required forms, and resources to help them understand and support their young woman's PURPLE experience.
Depending on the program year, BOW may also offer caregiver communication, educational information, orientations, meetings, or other opportunities for involvement.
