H.E.R. Circles
Healing. Empowerment. Restoration.
A Survivor-Centered Space for Connection, Support & Growth
H.E.R. Circles are survivor-centered support gatherings offered by Blessing Our Women, Inc. for women impacted by domestic violence and unhealthy or abusive relationships. Through guided conversations, education, reflection, peer connection, encouragement, and access to resources, H.E.R. Circles provide an opportunity for survivors to connect with others who understand that healing is not always a straight line.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.
What Is a H.E.R. Circle?
You Deserve a Space Where You Can Be Heard.
H.E.R. Circles create structured, supportive opportunities for survivors to connect, reflect, learn, and grow alongside other women. Participants may talk about experiences related to healing, boundaries, relationships, rebuilding, self-worth, life after abuse, personal growth, and moving forward.
You are never required to share details of your experience in order to participate. Some women come ready to talk. Others come ready to listen. Both are welcome.
What H.E.R. Means
Healing. Empowerment. Restoration.
Healing
Creating space to acknowledge experiences, recognize growth, develop healthier patterns, and continue moving forward.
Empowerment
Strengthening voice, confidence, boundaries, decision-making, self-advocacy, and personal agency.
Restoration
Reconnecting with identity, goals, relationships, hope, resources, and the parts of life a survivor is ready to rebuild.
What Happens in a H.E.R. Circle?
Conversation With Purpose
Each Circle centers around a guided topic while leaving space for meaningful conversation and connection.
Who H.E.R. Circles Are For
This Space Was Created With You in Mind.
H.E.R. Circles are designed for women who have been personally impacted by domestic violence or unhealthy and abusive relationships — whether that experience is recent or in the past, whether you are still in the situation or have left, whether you are in the middle of healing or just beginning.
Safety & Confidentiality
What You Share Stays in the Circle.
H.E.R. Circles are designed to be a safe, confidential space for participants. BOW facilitators are trained to create and maintain an environment where women can speak, listen, and grow without fear of judgment.
Participants are expected to respect the confidentiality of others in the group. What is shared in the Circle stays in the Circle.
If you are in immediate danger, please contact 911 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
Sisterhood & Connection
You Are Not Alone.
One of the most powerful parts of H.E.R. Circles is the opportunity to be in a room with other women who understand — not because they've heard about it, but because they've lived it. Connection, encouragement, and shared experience are part of what makes H.E.R. Circles meaningful.
Resources & Support
H.E.R. Circles Are One Part of BOW's Support Network.
Participants may also be connected to BOW's broader network of services and community resources, including DV H.E.L.P. Coaching, resource navigation, referral support, and community partnerships.
